Facial Enhancement Acupuncture (FEA) at NRQi Studio is a gentle treatment that helps revitalise the face while supporting the body from within. At NRQi Studio, Nickila is proud to offer this specialised approach, which combines the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine with gentle, therapeutic facial techniques to help you feel refreshed, lifted and rebalanced from the inside and out.  FEA was developed by renowned acupuncturist Paul Adkins, founder of FACIALENHANCE®.  
Unlike cosmetic treatments that focus solely on the surface, Facial Enhancement Acupuncture treats the face and the underlying systems of the body. By stimulating specific points with ultra-fine needles, this technique encourages collagen production, improves circulation, and promotes overall skin tone and elasticity, while also addressing the internal imbalances that can contribute to signs of ageing, dullness, or tension.
Please note: For best results, a course of 10 follow-up treatments is recommended, ideally spaced weekly or fortnightly, depending on your skin goals and overall constitution.

    Your first session is designed to lay the foundation for lasting, natural results. We begin with a thorough health consultation to understand your skin, internal balance, and overall wellbeing. This insight allows us to tailor your treatment to your unique needs—both cosmetic and constitutional.

    The treatment itself starts with a full-body acupuncture session, which includes some facial acupuncture points, to gently being rebalancing your body. This holistic approach ensures the body is supported from within, creating the ideal internal environment for visible, long-term improvements in the skin.

    • 30 minute whole body acupuncture to begin rebalancing the system

  • To prepare your skin and body for the best results, we kindly ask:

    ✔ Avoid Botox or similar injectable treatments on the face for at least 12 weeks, and on other areas of the body for 6 weeks prior to receiving acupuncture treatment
    ✔ Let us know if you’re taking prescribed blood thinners
    ✔ Discontinue active skincare (Retinol, Retin-A, glycolic acid, etc.) for 24 hours before treatment
    ✔ Avoid chemical peels, laser CO₂, HIFU, radiofrequency, microneedling, Profhilo, or other invasive treatments for the recommended period (30 days for CO₂ laser, 5 days for others)

  • Mild tenderness or bruising may occur and usually fades within a day or two. To support your skin’s recovery:

    ✔ Apply arnica cream if needed to reduce bruising
    ✔ Use only gentle cleansers for 48 hours
    ✔ Avoid active skincare (e.g. retinol, AHAs, vitamin C) and oil-based makeup for 2 days
    ✔ Refrain from invasive skin treatments (microneedling, peels, lasers) for 1 week
